Nanny's Tale

Once upon a time in a City of Dream

There lived three brave and happy princes

Two weren’t born and the third was just a gleam

All in the City of Dream

Their family all died so they took to the road

It was hot and they sought shade under three trees

Two weren’t planted and the third wasn’t there

All in the City of Dream

They rested for a time then they went on again

Soon they reached the banks of three rivers

Two had no water and the third was dry

All in the City of Dream

They bathed then found a city about to be built

In it they found three beautiful palaces

Two weren’t there and the third had no walls

All in the City of Dream

They entered the palaces and looked around

Three lovely golden plates was all they found

Two were cracked in half and the third was smashed

All in the City of Dream

They cooked 100 grains of rice minus 101

And served three holy men on the golden plates

Two had no bodies and the third had no mouth

All in the City of Dream

The princes ate the leftovers and were well pleased

And they lived on there in joy and peace

Tho two weren’t born and one was just a gleam

All in the City of Dream
